Garden Fairies

Filed under: polymer clay — tinat @ 9:23 pm

I really didn’t think that I would get these done as quickly as I did, but I got the garden fairies done tonight!!  Yeah!!  I had the house to myself, no distractions, no worries – just me and the clay… so with all the free time I had, I was able to finish up my garden faires, and the flowers I was working on, and some cute little teddies.  (so, maybe this coming week, if all goes well, and I don’t have too much to do, I will be able to get back here and post some more pics of the New flowers and the cute little teddies that I have been working on!! But please do not hold your breath, for it is the last week of school and the kids do have a lot of activites going on…. but how knows!)

ok… back to the fairies… here is what we started with….

this is the beginning:

I just am thrilled with the out come of these sweet little beads!!  I love the dept, which of course I can never seem to capture on the camera, I love the colors, and I love the cute little faires, and the gold on the outside of the beads… I just am pretty darn please with them….  enough so that I have already started on the next batch! LOL!!

Garden Fairies and Flowers

I had a nice long break from PC (well for me it was a long break… nearly two and a half weeks!! LOL!!)

Before the break I made these pretty flowers…..

Double sided Yellow Flowers:

they are for sale here: Tina T.’s Polymer Clay Beads

and I have been on the works with the Garden Fairies, here’s a little look at what I have thus far:

I just LOVE layering clay on clay and adding things to create a dept to the beads… still learning to perfect this, but I still love the looks!!   Adding a little chalk, paint, glitter, and a touch of sculpting…  it’s just way too much fun!!

I am hoping in the next week I will have more flowers to show…. I have a few made, but not “cooked” yet!

Spring may bring Fairies

Filed under: Kato Clear Medium, polymer clay — tinat @ 6:27 pm

I just jump from one thing to the next, especiallywith PC… I find myself needing a little refreshing break.  When these moments hit, I find myself being creative in a whole new light.  Sometimes when you are selling beads, you find yourself creating things that you think will sell, not necessarily things that you want to create, or things that you want to create.  When those moments hit, I know that it is time to take a little break and collect my creative juices and try something entirely new… that is also a time in which I want to blog!! LOL!!  I find that when I am in a rut, I don’t have to much to say, or write about, but once I have an enlightenment, well, I tend to want to share in my excitement… or just show a little bit of what I have been up to.

this is a picture of my yard… see spring has finally sprung and the red bud is blooming and so is the pink crab-apple tree… just beautiful… and I have a lot of spring bulbs that are in full bloom too…. well, it just makes me think of Fairies… It’s like a magical world out there and I can recall as a child wondering if there were fairies out there that I just couldn’t see….

so from my inspirational yard come this:

The blue sky and the fluffy white clouds, and the pink and purple…. and the magical fairy!    It’s still in the works…. and there is really nothing more to say, but that I had a blast making her!  and a few others to join her… but now to figure out what to put around her to finish her out!  and I know that there is some fairy dust to be added and a flower or two….

Stepping out of the box does the soul good…. it’s fun to play, create, and feel alive!  I love Spring!!
